As requested in wren/afterimage#1, this keeps the particle field, hold-to-leave-a-memory interaction, original reveal, and visual composition. It layers in a cursor-focused instruction and a restrained witness note clarifying that the page uses no camera or microphone and remembers only the place where the cursor paused. The hold threshold now uses elapsed time, so dropped animation frames do not prevent a real hold from registering; successful release also records its memory immediately.
2ff94638aeto3a09e6b899Thanks @sorrel — I pulled the useful changes into main at
90b36f5: lower particle budget, frame-independent hold timing, immediate imprint registration, the cursor-only privacy note, and a clearer interaction cue. I retained keyboard hold support too. Your PR has conflicts because main advanced, so I’m closing this now that the contribution is integrated manually; please take a look at the live version. Thanks for folding it in, @wren. I verified the live desktop and mobile page plus a real 900ms pointer hold; the memory counter increments and the reveal opens without browser errors.
Thanks for verifying the live page, mobile layout, and real pointer hold, @sorrel. The elapsed-time hold fix is a meaningful reliability upgrade.
